
How to Brainwash Yourself

The things you repeat are not purposeful and deliberate. You brain is being wired to seek out negative info, cars you search for online, and other things you look at regularly.

You have a bad narrator, and don’t decide what your narrator says about who you are, or you don’t know yourself well enough - which causes a lack of full identity and grounding, and further causes a search to ‘try on’ new things to try to discover who you are, and what fits best - your identity becomes an open window to the world.

You neglect communicating with your mammalian brain on purpose - resulting to only communicating with it on accident or by chance.
The Three Main Solutions:

Get repetition into your life on purpose

Change your narrator
-
Communicate on purpose to the mammalian brain

The Number One Lever To Change Your Life:
Make past-tense you a source of dopamine (do lots of things for your future self (which requires discipline only until it starts becoming pleasurable).

Change your narrator by using deliberate questioning and forced narration throughout the day

Change the repetition of what you’re exposed to constantly
-
Phone wallpaper
-
Media exposure
-
Listening while driving (music is useless most of the time - use books)
-
Who you hang out with (also who you spend time with online)
-
What books and messages you’re exposed to
-
What you MONITOR about yourself daily (wins and losses)

The Fear Model:

Focus: Determine how you can force the animal brain to focus on what’s important
-
Emotion: Determine how to leverage emotion (dopamine from past self)
-
Agitation: Switching up your environment to allow the mammal time to understand that new things can happen. Disruptions show the mammal that new things are going to be required for the new environment.

Repetition: Continue to monitor how it’s working and repeat the process while adding in new stuff all the time.
